1800 Sherman was built in 1990 by Kohn Pedersen Fox, at 10 Floors high. The building curves at the corner, so that there is a plaza with a fountain and trees to welcome visitors to the building. This is another famous Evanston Landmark, but the more famous one is Optima Towers. The City of Evanston originally planned to turn this building into condos in 2003, but did not work out that way. The building is of yellow granite and blue-green tinted glass windows. You might know more of Kohn Pedersen Fox for their work on 311 South Wacker in Chicago.
