Well Known Facts

This building was built in 2002, by Pappageorge/Haymes. On the first floor is the well known bookstore of "Powell's Books", which sells used and new for inexpensive prices. there is parking inside the building on floors 2-5. On the 6th to 18th Floors, are Apartments. The architects, purposely built this building on this site, so that residents would get views of Grant Park, Lake Michigan, Central Station, Museum Campus, but most importantly, the Chicago Skyline. This is the tallest building between Van Buren Street and Roosevelt Road. The roof was intended to be dampered roof with green aluminum. This is also one of Chicago's best landmarks.
