Aqua Tower

Well Known Facts

The Aqua is under construction in Chicago, and is expected to be 873 Feet tall at 82 Floors. Jeanne Gang is the architect of this building. Aqua also looks like Marina City stuck together, and is twice as tall as Marina City with blue tinted glass windows. Construction is expected to be finished by March 2009.

  • The Architects are using a Global Positioning System to place the balconies onto the building along with the glass.

  • Geoffrey Baer says that the "blue glass and concrete building will compliment the Marina City towers 4 blocks away, and give a visual reference point to the whole city".

  • BREAKING NEWS-November 17, 2009: The height of Trump Tower Chicago is now 1,389 Feet, Aon Center is now 1,163 Feet, , John Hancock Center is now 1,154 Feet, Chase Tower is now 877 Feet, Aqua is now 873 Feet, and 300 North LaSalle is now 812 Feet, said by the Council On Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. This means that instead of just street level standard, it also means that plazas, riverwalks, or lowest open air entrance is included by height.
