Trivia
- Architects: Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan
- This building once housed the offices of the famed Adler & Sullivan architecture firm.
- At the time of its completion, this was the tallest building in Chicago.
- The facade was inspired by the Marshall Field Wholesale Store (demolished).
- The theater originally had a seating capacity of 4,300.
- The building rests on a foundation made of wood and steel. The underground platform was carefully designed by Adler to support the weight of the building. But an additional story was added after it was built, which caused the entire building to settle unevenly.
