The Regions Building was completed in 1992 at 687 Feet and 49 Floors. It was designed by HKM, and was designed to compliment the window design of Bank Of America Plaza. The intention with the roof was to have a building stand out on Tampa's skyline. It is said to look like a church's steeple on top of the building. The building was formerly known as 100 North Tampa, but in February 2008 that changed when Regions purchased the building's naming rights. Today, the Regions Building is the tallest building in Southwest Florida. It is also the 3rd tallest building in the state, outside of the Miami Metro Area.

Chicago's Skyline started back in 1885, when the world's first skyscraper was erected, the Home Insurance Building. This was the first of how tall buildings went up in the 1880s. Although, Chicago was not alone for the fight for a skyline. New York had buildings going higher than Chicago. Chicago won with the Tribune Tower in 1925. New York trampled Chicago in 1931, when the Empire State Building was erected at 102 Floors and 1,250 Feet tall. After that, the "Great Depression" started, until Chicago came up with a huge plan in 1965. This plan did not exceed the height of the Empire State Building, but did make news everywhere. The John Hancock Center was erected at 100 Floors and 1,127 Feet tall in 1970 with large Xs on the exterior of the building with a light green crown on top, that was even visible at night. Chicago didn't stop there though. The next big plan was to build Sears Tower (Chicago)-Willis Tower (Chicago) in 1973 at 110 Floors and 1,451 Feet tall with sleek modern tinted glass windows of a bundled tube style. This style is even visible today on Trump International Hotel and Tower (Chicago) of a silvery-blue tinted glass exterior. Also on the Burj Dubai, the "New World's Tallest Building". Before today's boom hit and after the Sears Tower was built, there was one Chicago building that caught everyone's attention in 1983, the Smurfit-Stone Building. At 41 Floors, this building is not your typical flat top building. Located at 150 North Michigan Avenue, Smurfit Stone bought the rights to the building in 1998, with not only a plaza by Yacoov Agam called "Communications X9", but also a building that has a slanted 45 degree angled roof that looks like 2 sail boats connecting to each other. Which is why this building stands out from the rest on the Chicago Skyline.

This city has been rising ever since 2003. At first, the city had only a few skyscrapers, but today they are having a "Building Boom" in Dubai. Not only are they becoming bigger, but taller as well. With the Burj Dubai topping off in Fall 2009, this city will be recognized with the World's Tallest Building. Dubai only had a little over 1,000,000 residents in the 1990s, but today they are nearing 3,000,000 residents. That's almost "2,000,000 More Residents" in Dubai. They even have plans to build the World's Tallest all-residential Building by 2010, the Princess Tower Dubai. Dubai's economy began to boom with the oil-rigs in the city. Now there are like 85 skyscrapers built in Dubai. The Burj Al Arab was built to have a Helicopter-Pad on top of the building, which is known to be a hotel.
