Well Known Facts

Originally not intended to be red when built, the developers and the city decided to keep it red, for the red paint is a "red rust preventative". The building also has red interiors through out the building. At 44 floors and with red paint, this is a Chicago landmark and icon. Was built in 1973, as an expansion to Metropolitan Tower. On special events, the building will have lit up logos for that event. This building also marks the southern most point of the skyline in the city.
