This is one of the oldest cities in the world. The City was founded in 794AD. The city was known as Romerberg. The name was later changed to Frankfurt in 1152AD. Frankfurt, since has been growing, and is most commonly known as today, Frankfurt Am Main. In English, Franfurt Am Main is known as Frankfurt On The Main. The city is full of Architecture. The St. Leonhard's Church, is the oldest church in Frankfurt, and was built in the 13th Century, which at the time was their tallest building. Today, the Commerzbank Tower is the tallest building in the city, at 850 Feet, it is the tallest building in Western Europe. Although, there are plans in London for The Shard, and would surpass the Commerzbank Tower by 61 Feet.

Frankfurt has various tourist activities. The Romerberg is now one of Frankfurt's neighborhoods, and is full of Specialty Shops. The Main Tower has an observation deck near the top of the building. There is a Financial Center Park in downtown. The skyline is filled with tall buildings. There is an Architecture Museum for Frankfurt Buildings, and a Museum of Modern Art. The old Saint Paul's Church is now a Cultural Center. The Messeturm has a Convention/Shopping Center with a public plaza. The Financial District is filled with public plazas to enjoy a lunch break or dine out during the Spring and Summer at night. 300,000 commuters come from the suburbs and throughout the world to experience Frankfurt.
